In a reversal of recent events, Alan Jones is the one doing the suing this time.

Jones has launched defamation action against SBS for a broadcast on The Feed that he claims  “greatly injured” his reputation by wrongly portraying him as a racist, a misogynist and a liar.

Lawyers for Jones argued that the broadcast conveyed ten defamatory imputations about Jones, including that he “achieved his success as a broadcaster by habitually seeking to intimidate vulnerable people” and “sought to incite racial violence.”

They further argued that the broadcast implied Jones was “a misogynist” and “a liar” regarding climate change, and that it had damaged his personal and professional reputation.

He is seeking damages and the removal of the content from all SBS platforms.
