Aley and Ferling join Macquarie Sports Summer of Cricket

Macquarie Sports Radio have added two key additions to the commentary line-up with current players Sarah Aley and Holly Ferling, joining the broadcast

Aley, an Australian representative, has been a big part of the success in New South Wales while Ferling is quickly establishing herself as someone to watch over the next decade and was a big signing with the Melbourne Stars.

Both will feature right throughout the summer, and will be joined by a host of other stars including Alex Blackwell, Julia Price, Kristen Beams and current Australian player, Elyse
Villani.

The coverage begins at North Sydney Oval this weekend, showcasing the fierce rivalry between Australia and New Zealand. Macquarie Sports Radio will bring listeners every ball
of the three T20s, starting on Saturday night and continuing on Monday, October 1 and Friday, October 5.

Sarah Aley said: I cant wait for it all to start and to be up in the commentary box for Macquarie Sports Radio is going to be a thrill.

Holly Ferling, who has been part of the Macquarie Sports Team since April, is excited to now be part of the commentary team and says The international and domestic season for the women has never been bigger with T20Is against New Zealand, a T20 World Cup in the West Indies all before the WBBL kicks off in December.

The professionalism of the sport is continuing to increase, which means more female cricketers are finding a way to gain an edge and take the game to the next level.

Macquarie Media CEO Adam Lang says he is thrilled to have the pair as part of Macquarie Sports Radio’s summer of cricket coverage. The growth in influence that women are having on the game of cricket right throughout Australia is spectacular.
