Ash, Kip and Luttsy conquer Kokoda

Last night, Nova 106.9’s Ash, Kip and Luttsy reached the end of their incredible journey by finishing the Kokoda Track, and posted the above photo on the Nova 106.9 Facebook page.

Earlier this year, the Brisbane breakfast team decided to make the pilgrimage to commemorate 100 years of the Anzac landing at Gallipoli, and were quick to receive the support of Channel 7 news presenter Bill McDonald and Mates4Mates.

Nova 106.9 General Manager, Jay Walkerden, says “Kokoda encapsulates everything Australians hold dear about our service personnel – their endurance, their mateship, the courage they display and the sacrifices they make.”

Mates4Mates is an organisation that provide physical and psychological rehabilitation for current and ex-serving Australian Defence Force (ADF) members who are wounded, injured or ill. We also support the families of these Brave Mates.

Ask, Kip and Luttsy have been providing regular updates on their journey, and will be back on-air Monday morning.
