Granland was told last week by SEN he’d no longer be calling games on Friday night, while he also lost weekend commentating spots and fill in roles during the summer.
 

The axing was part of a series of sweeping changes undertaken by Craig Hutchison following the merger of Crocmedia and Pacific Star Network that saw several high-profile departures from the SEN lineup, including Mark Fine, Kevin Hillier and GM Cathy Thomas. 

Granland is the newest addition the 3AW commentary team which includes Caroline Wilson, Cameron Ling, Leigh Matthews, Matthew Lloyd, and Jimmy Bartel, and will broadcast Saturday night matches.
