Big Boars take 95 3SR FM for a ride to help kids

Local Harley-Davidson motorcycle club, the ‘Big Boar Riders’ have teamed up with 95 3SR FM’s Give Me 5 For Kids™ to help raise $50,000 to buy the local children’s ward a Neonatal Ventilator.

Big Boar Riders President, Merv Wild wants the public to know that they are not just a group of old bikers, “We are a non profit group of Men and Women riders from all walks of life, with many different, and varied occupations who enjoy helping out the local community and anyone who may need a helping hand.

“We are all parents, in fact a lot of us are grandparents, and all realise how important a good Hospital is to the community, especially a Children’s Ward,” said Merv. And who’d argue with him?

95 3SR FM’s breakfast announcer and fellow biking enthusiast, Greg Evans said he was overwhelmed by the response, and was enthusiastic about the remainder of the month’s activities to reach a target of $50,000.

“To see such a strong response from our listeners and surrounding community is absolutely incredible. If we can maintain this support for the rest of June then we are well on the way to achieving that magic $50,000 figure to help the kids,” said Evans
