Big Mark Geyer breaks down on-air as he talks about his daughters

He was one of the biggest, toughest, hardest units ever to lace up a pair of football boots in the NRL, but this morning Mark Geyer or MG was brought to tears on Triple M, Sydney.

“Well I’m 6’5″ and a 115kgs but I was brought to my knees on Sunday. My oldest daughter Montana had a seizure, just over a year ago Montana my oldest girl and Kennedy my middle girl got diagnosed with epilepsy,”  he told his co-hosts, Gus Worland and Matty Johns on The Grill Team.

Devoted father of three girls and two boys, has seen the two eldest girls diagnosed with Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy. The eldest, Montanna, 18 suffered an attack on the weekend.

“When you see your daughter frothing at the mouth with foam coming out and you can’t do anything about it, it’s hard, it’s really hard,” said MG.

Despite the obvious difficulty of revealing such personal details about his family to Triple M’s vast audience, MG felt it was vital to raise awareness of this often misunderstood condition and point to where help is available.
