The Breeze enlists Spandau Ballet in TV Promo

The upcoming Spandau Ballet tour is an advantage for several stations which program the band’s music on their playlists.

Last week we reported smooth fm’s collaboration with Spandau Ballet in a new TVC, where a woman getting ready to go out is listening to the radio, with the band playing live in her living room.

The TVC, which is perfect for the smooth female target audience, has also been rebadged for The Breeze in New Zealand, a station with a similar easy listening format.

The 1970’s British ‘new romantic’ band had ten UK top 10 hits, including the 1983 song used in the TVC, True. In 1990, the band split up and the four members embarked on solo projects. They reformed in 2009 and have been touring since. Spandau Ballet last toured Australia and New Zealand in 2010.

This much is true, with many easy listening stations around the world, we may expect to see Spandau Ballet collaborating with a few more easy format stations if they happen to be in cities on the upcoming tour.
