Bundaberg Broadcasters’ help out with NSW bushfire appeal

Bundaberg region residents have once again come to the fore to help those in need with the NSW Bushfire Appeal.

Globalcare, in conjunction with Fastway Couriers and Bundaberg Broadcasters, is organising for a delivery of toiletries and linen to get those affected by the NSW bushfires.

New Linen and Toiletries can be delivered by Wednesday midday to Gin Gin Realty; Citicoast Church, 140 Elliott Heads Road Bundaberg; and Fastway Couriers, 1 Production Street, Bundaberg.

“Boxes of Love” are also being organised for children in evacuation centres. Small items that can fit in shoe boxes are needed such as small colouring-in books, pencils, bouncy balls and also brushes, combs and toothpaste. Anyone who can help out is asked to drop off their items by Wednesday at 12 noon to the Bundaberg Broadcasters Studios, 38 Crofton Street, Bundaberg.

A silent Auction is also being held. Jason and Jamie from Affordable Pine Furniture have kindly made and donated a child’s bedroom package to be auctioned in aid of the NSW Fire Affected families.

To make a bid, call Heather Boon from Global Care on 0402 920 737 with your highest bid, or you can view the bed and message a bid through on the Facebook page. Auctions Closes at Midnight on Friday the 25th October.
