Dave Cameron and Mike Fitzpatrick extend reach to regional stations

Dave Cameron from Fox FM in Melbourne will extend his influence as Head of Today Network in metro markets to now include regional stations as part of a unified national strategy.

Meanwhile, Derek Bargwanna from 2Day FM Sydney will be supporting Dave as Today Network Operations Manager.

On the Triple M side, Mike Fitzpatrick from Melbourne takes on the role of Triple M Network Operations Manager, working alongside Jamie Angel (Head of Triple M Network, based in Sydney).   ‘Fitzy’  will also now head up the brand’s national regional arm, Local Works.

Sam Cavanagh remains a force as National Executive Show Producer.

Taking on regional as well as metro responsibilities, puts Dave and Mike closer to the SCA gene pool of emerging talent.

Says Dave Cameron, “The future for capital city radio is undoubtedly in regional markets at this very moment.  It’s a really exciting talent pipeline and I’m determined to keep it flowing, using our extensive resources to work with some of the newest stars coming through both on and off the air.”

Says Mike Fitzpatrick, Triple M Network Operations Manager said,“I’m pumped to be able to see and hear the Local Works network from a national perspective.  I’ve been working with the Victorian & Tasmanian guys over the past 12 months and if the talent there is anything to go by, SCA is in great shape!  The regional and provincial stations have produced generations of great radio talent, many of them are working in or running our metro stations today.  I can’t wait to see who’s next.”
