Chappelli joins Macquarie Sports Radio for the summer

Ian Chappell is the latest big name to call Macquarie Sports Radio home for the summer of cricket, which gets underway this Saturday night.
 
The former Australian Test captain has long been a key figure in Australian cricket and will team up alongside Sarah Aley and David Morrow in Saturday night’s opening Commonwealth Bank Women’s T20 match between Australia and New Zealand at North Sydney Oval.
 
Macquarie Media will feature coverage of every ball bowled of all the Domain Test Series, Gillette One Day and T20 Internationals, the KFC Big Bash League and the Commonwealth Bank Women’s International Series on Macquarie Sports Radio.
 
Ian Chappell, in his fifth season with Macquarie Sports Radio, says” Cricket on the radio affords commentators the chance to expand their thoughts in painting a picture for the listener and this is a really enjoyable challenge.”
 
Australia plays India this summer and Chappell says he’s expecting and entertaining and competitive series  “This is the best attack India has ever brought to Australia and they’ll match up well against the home side’s strong bowling line-up.”
