Community station gives away $28,000 river cruise

Gold Coast community station 94.1FM has given away A “Uniworld European River Cruise” valued just over $28,000 as part of the station’s Radiothon 2018 to attract Support Group Membership.

John Rose from Burleigh Heads was presented with the prize by Yerri Guy from Uniworld and Neil Kirby from Travelmasters, who sponsor a weekly Cruise & Travel Show on 94.1FM which is now available to other stations via Air News.

The prize was presented to Rose on board a special 94.1FM River Cruise for over 100 of the station’s Support Members. Special guests on board included Normie Rowe. Tony Worsley and former Channel 7/ABC newsreader Ross Symonds.

CEO Gary Field said that though the station was only 5 years old, ‘it’s great to see many major national brands starting to identify with the station’.

Field said the acquisition of long time Gold Coast breakfast radio personality Richard Fowler over a year ago has seen a significant audience increase to 94.1FM.

The prize includes a 15-day cruise from Amsterdam to Budpest and includes return airfares, all meals, open bar, shore excursions and WiFi.
