Crocmedia adds Softball Australia to its sports stable

The profile of softball could get a significant boost with Softball Australia announcing a new media partnership with Crocmedia.

Softball will join major sporting codes such as AFL, NRL, cricket, golf and basketball amongst many others in the Crocmedia stable.

Significantly, Crocmedia will oversee the coverage of the Asia Pacific Cup and faster format The Summer Slam – Fully Loaded Softball, as well as hosting live streams of the Open Men’s and Women’s National Championships.

Not only will Crocmedia bring elite level softball into the homes of fans around Australia, they will also provide insights from the top level of the game with exclusive television and radio programs throughout the year.

Crocmedia’s CEO, Craig Hutchison, welcomed the opportunity to showcase a much-loved Australian sport and says, “We’re really looking forward to working with Softball Australia and taking the excitement of this growing sport to a wider audience.”

“It’s great to see national sporting organisations in Australia keen to innovate and grow and we love being part of that journey.”

Softball makes its return to the Olympics in 2020 for the first time since 2008 and, regardless of the result, it will be an exciting opportunity to put softball front and centre with sports fans.

CEO at Softball Australia, David Pryles, says the partnership would help take the sport to the next level, “Crocmedia’s expertise in both production and broadcasting is going to assist us enormously in not only promoting our Australian athletes but also the many programs we run out of the Softball Australia office.

“We’ll be able to shine a light on our Softball Batter Up junior program, the new Fully Loaded format, international news and results as well as providing more value to our current commercial partners.

“Crocmedia gives us the chance to keep softball in the news all year-round and we’re really excited about that.”
