Cutting edge Programming

Those of us that have been around the industry for a while will remember, and in many cases will have been on the receiving end, of what would these days be categorised as very inappropriate workplace behaviour.

Desk thumping, cart machine throwing, wall kicking, head slapping, drunk advice phone calls in the middle of the night, Programming meetings at the pub…

The kind of thing that simply couldn’t and wouldn’t happen in these more enlightened, if somewhat greyer, times.

One of the best stories has come to light in an Urban Legends feature with Hamish and Andy, talking to Dave Cameron.

In something that sounds like it came directly from the one-time programming bible Sun Tzu’s “Art of War”, the story features former Austereo programming guru Jeff Allis, an announcer with an air check and a samurai sword.

Below is the story, as well as Jeff Allis’ response.
