dmg has announced the closure of the Sydney General Manager role with immediate effect, and the departure of Tim McDermott.
The closure of this role is enabled because of the added infrastructure provided by the dmg Group Executive team’s Sydney based location.
The Group Executive comprises of Group GM Louise Higgins, Group Sales Director Peter Charlton, Group Marketing Director Tony Thomas, and Group Program Director Paul Jackson. The executive group is headed up by CEO Cathy O’Connor.
dmg Radio Australia’s Group General Manager, Louise Higgins said of the restructure: “Our Sydney operations are unique and as such this change relates to our Sydney stations only. We would like to thank Tim McDermott for his service in this role and wish him well with his future endeavours”
A new structure for the Sydney operations will be announced in early 2013.
In the interim, Louise Higgins, dmg Group General Manager, will take on overall acting leadership responsibilities for Nova 969 and smoothfm 95.3. This position will see Louise working closely with department heads in sales, integration and programming across the two brands.
