Eddie McGuire poaches SEN Executive Producer

Melbourne’s Herald Sun is reporting that Jay Mueller is about to resume his association with Eddie McGuire.

McGuire and Mueller worked together at Triple M on The Hot Breakfast for 8 years.

Currently Mueller is the Executive Producer for 1116 SEN’s Gerald Whateley.

In an announcement in October last year, Pacific Star Network said Mueller was to join them in a new role of Group Content Director of Broadcast and Digital, but a change of ownership and Whateley’s arrival saw the pair thrown together at the beginning of this year

Mueller’s departure from 1116 SEN and the move to the McGuire Group is seen as a blow for Craig Hutchinson’s battle to get SEN pointing in the right direction, and as a win for his arch rival.

Meanwhile Muellers extensive resume, includes

• Producer for  3AW’s Neil Mitchell

• Senior Producer for number one talkback program 3AW’s Ross and John

• Executive Producer Triple M The Hot Breakfast

He has covered the London Olympics, the Brazil World Cup and two NFL Super Bowls, the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami in Sri Lanka, the 2005 Pakistan Earthquake and the 2006 World Cup in Germany and worked at the  Seven Network as the Saturday night AFL broadcast producer.

Separately in 2014, Mueller founded Bad Producer Productions which creates content that specialises in audio on demand. It has also produced three successful podcasts – Game Changers: Radio, The Garret Podcast and In the Pocket
