It’s beginning to sound a lot like Christmas.
ARN’s award-winning digital Christmas station, Elf Radio, is back on iHeartRadio Australia and bursting with Christmas cheer just in time for the festive season.
As listeners prepare to decorate their trees and deck their halls with boughs of holly, the jingle bells are already in full swing on Elf Radio.
Once again the Elf’s playlist is bigger than Santa’s sack, full of favourite Christmas carols and festive tunes including the musical Christmas king and queen, Michael Bublé and Mariah Carey.
The Christmas tunes include:
• Michael Bublé – Let It Snow
• John Legend – Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
• SIA – Santa’s Coming For Us
• Samantha Jade – I’ll Be Home For Christmas
• Taylor Swift – Santa Baby (also versions by Ariana Grande, Kylie Minogue and Madonna)
• Taylor Swift – Last Xmas (also versions by Ariana Grande, Olly Murs, Carly Rae Jepsen)
• Hanson – Please Come Home For Xmas (Christmas album)
• Lady Gaga – White Xmas
• Jessie J – The Man With The Bag
• Sheppard – War Is Over
• Jessica Mauboy – Miss You Most At Xmas Time
• Little Mix – Love Me Like You Do (Christmas Version)
• Justin Bieber & Mariah Carey – All I Want For Xmas…
It will be a very Merry Christmas for Elf Radio listeners who could win Christmas Cash to the value of $200, just by completing the entry form on iHeartRadio.com.au.
To enter, listeners should head to iHeartRadio.com.au before the competition closes on December 20.
Chief ELF Officer of iHeartRadio, Geraint Davies, says, “The North Pole’s number 1 Hit Music Station, Elf Radio just keeps getting better and better each year. Whilst we will always play the classics, Elf Radio continues to be Santa’s favourite station because we add the new Christmas songs too. Last year we added SIA, this year we’ve added Samantha Jade and John Legend’s new Christmas songs.”
Elf Radio is on air now and will broadcast until December 26.
Retailers are not the only businesses to market early for Christmas. Elf radio has been on DAB (@32kbs) since the start of October. So too has Christian broadcaster Hope (Hope 103.2) with its Christmas Hope DAB (@48kbs) channel.
These two stations exemplify the flexibility of the DAB system allowing pop-up or seasonal radio stations. One knows and expects the genre/theme of music which is appropriate for this particular kind of music.
They are not the only pop-up radio stations but an illustrative example,
