Em Rusciano’s letter to herself

Radio and television presenter Em Rusciano has shared a letter on her Facebook page she wrote to herself after quitting Perth’s 92.9‘s breakfast show.

Rusciano left Western Australia and moved to Melbourne to host the national radio show Mamamia Today with Dave Thornton which was axed after just eight months on-air.

“Every time I pack my house to move I come across the note I wrote myself after I quit my breakfast radio job in Perth. It has never meant more to me than when I read it again today. We left Perth with no jobs to go to, we had to sell the house and move back in with my parents in Melbourne. I had to start all over again professionally and I was scared. Around this time I wrote my first ever solo show and performed in front of 25 people.. 6 years on and I’m so glad I made that decision. At the time I was so worried I’d never work again.. Oh god, there is something in my eye… Anyways, the moral to this story is: back yourself, love the shit outta whatever it is you do and your people will find you and love it too. Oh and learn how to spell remember”.
