Emma Alberici sets the record straight about her redundancy

Emma Alberici vented her frustration on Twitter just 24 hours after The Australian’s coverage of her agreement to leave the ABC after 18 years.

Despite there being a confidentiality agreement in the settlement, Alberici felt compelled to “put the record straight” on a number of issues she felt “needed clarification” and published a number of tweets about how the redundancy was handled.

Alberici has now removed the tweets.

Gaven Morris was not involved in decisions regarding the settlement or any terms agreed with Emma Alberici around her departure from the ABC because it was not an editorial matter. Her redundancy was handled by the ABC’s Legal and HR departments.
