EON Broadcasting launches new sports channel with TalkSport EPL content

Glenn Wheatley‘s EON Broadcasting has launched a new sports channel.

 
Glenn Wheatley, the founder and Chief Executive of Eon Sports Radio in Australia, says: “It is with great pride that we are able to bring to Australia the audio and streaming rights of the English Premier League.

“We are already on line and can be found at eonsports.com.au Our app will be available very shortly and we expect to be live Nationally on digital DAB+ in February 2016.”
 
Eon Sports Radio is a new sports radio network and will have a blend of original and licensed sports programming.

As well as EPL audio rights, talkSPORT has also agreed to share other programming content with Eon Sports Radio, to include sports talk, interviews and features from talkSPORT’s award-winning UK output.
 
 “EPL has always had an enormous following in Australia, and we are delighted to represent talkSport in bringing the live broadcasts of each game to Australian audiences,” says Wheatley.

As global audio partner of the Premier League, talkSPORT controls an exclusive package of international audio rights  until 2019, allowing the station to broadcast official live commentary of all 380 Barclays Premier League matches in any language to listeners around the world outside of the UK and Ireland. talkSPORT, the world’s biggest sports radio station is also an official broadcaster of he 2016 UEFA European Football Championships, the FA Cup, England football internationals and the Capital One Cup.
