Finally BarRat and Jess set the pace for Chase

After it was postponed thanks to Cyclone Debbie, 919 Sea FM’s BarRat & Jess are finally off on a 12-hour walk from Caloundra, heading north, in order to raise much-needed funds for local 5 year old, Chase.

Chase loves dinosaurs, riding his bike and going for a swim…..and has cerebral palsy. After medical treatments every fortnight for the past 3 years, the goal is for Chase to walk unaided.

BarRat & Jess want to turn his dream to play and run into a reality, by helping his parents with the costs of upcoming treatment in Adelaide.

BarRat & Jess said, “When we first met this young family from Sippy Downs, and heard what they had been through, we instantly wanted to help them out. This is an opportunity for not only us, but the entire Sunshine Coast to change Chase’s life”.

Already, the walk has gained attention, with Cricks Nambour and Noosa, home of the Sunshine Coast Best Used Cars, calling BarRat & Jess and donating a brand new Mitsubishi Mirage to Chase and his family and almost $30,000 cash has already been donated thanks to local residents and businesses of the Sunshine Coast.

BarRat & Jess said, “From the bottom of our hearts we are so grateful to the amazing team from Cricks Nambour and Noosa, as well as the Sunshine Coast! Chase and his family have struggled for years and this will be life changing”.
