First Peoples Media Alliance launched

A new alliance will bring Australia’s First Peoples media operators together. The Alliance was formed at the 4th annual Queensland Indigenous Radio leadership forum, held in Brisbane this week.

The forum was attended by radio station representatives from Brisbane, Cherbourg, Rockhampton, Mackay, Mt Isa, Palm Island, Townsville and Cairns (pictured).

The Alliance is a voice for its members promoting the development and sustainability of media as an essential service.

Besides lobbying, the Alliance will introduce a collaborative approach to training, marketing, information sharing and technology.

The Alliance is a progressive consultative group of broadcasters who seek to advance the broadcasting platform well into the future.
