NOVA’s Fitzy & Wippa teamed up with Qantas and flew over one hundred deserving families and individuals in need of some festive  cheer on a Christmas themed day trip to the world famous  Australia Zoo yesterday. The special passengers were personally selected over the past two weeks as Fitzy & Wippa called for nominations across Sydney seeking families who have been doing it tough in the lead up to the holiday period and could well do with a happy day out.
 
Once at Australia Zoo the families enjoyed watching the famous crocodile show as well as helping Robert Irwin celebrate his 13^th birthday. Fitzy & Wippa along with the Qantas staff presented Robert with a cheque for the Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors charity as a gift for the birthday boy.
 
Prior to the flight to the Sunshine Coast Fitzy and Wippa broadcast live from the Qantas Heritage Centre where the special guests will enjoy breakfast before boarding a Christmas themed aircraft complete with antlered and Santa hat head rests, gift-filled Christmas stockings and carols.
 
Qantas donated the plane for the day and their amazing staff all volunteered their time to be part of what was an amazing day with some wonderful families.
