2Day FM breakfast co-host takes home Gold.

Grant Denyer has won Gold at the 60th Logie awards, beating WSFM’s Amanda Keller, Tracy Grimshaw, Rodger Corser, Andrew Winter and Jessica Marais for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television. 

Denyer had earlier taken out the most popular presenter award, despite his show – Ten’s Family Feud – being cancelled, and said of the win “Game shows aren’t important, but this is so important to me.

“Family Feud came along at a time in my life when I wasn’t sure if I’d ever work again, or if I even wanted to,” he said.

“I wasn’t in a particularly good place, I wasn’t very well.

“I was in a bit of a hole.

“I was pretty sad, I was a bit lost … in fact I was very unwell and Family Feud gave me a ladder out of that hole.”
