Hamish and Andy announce tour details and second CD

Hamish and Andy have now announced details of their Thank You Tour, and, as reported earlier on radioinfo, will be broadcasting a live show per day, across five capital cities. The duo will start in Perth on Monday 29 November and finish in Melbourne on Friday 3 December and their tour will coincide with a new album launch.

Hamish and Andy will join the new national Today Network drive team in a weekly 2011 show (Fridays from 4pm). As such, the Thank You Tour is their way of acknowledging listeners for participating in the five day a week show for the past five years.

On the tour, Hamish commented:  “I accidentally shoplifted some pantyhose and this coincides with a week I need to spend on the run. Its a win-win.”

Andy said: “We cant wait to hit every city and thank everyone for being a part of the show over the last five years. Normally thank you messages are accompanied by flowers, but we can’t afford that, so please dont come expecting.”

In addition to the Tour, the presenters will be launching their second CD, entitled Celebrating 50 Glorious Years. The CD is a collaboration of highlights from Hamish & Andy’s last three years. Their first CD, released in 2008 entitled Unessential Listening, won an ARIA and went platinum.

This time around, Hamish & Andy have included more pranks, awkward stories, and toilet humour into the CD.

The duo encourage people to visit the live broadcast locations to join in the live shows (see location chart below).  The outside broadcasts are free events. The gates to will open four hours prior to the show starting in each city and will close once crowd capacity is reached.
