Hamish and Andy’s caravan to hit Europe

Look out Europe, Hamish & Andy are about to hit your shores. Their Caravan of Courage: Great Britain and Ireland will see the boys broadcast their national networked radio show from abroad for two weeks starting Monday 31 May until Friday 11 June.

With the blessing of their tired-of-arguing boss ‘Grumpy Dave’ the cheeky duo are set to embark on their fourth Caravan of Courage.  With the help of their listeners, a plan is in the making to unleash their shenanigans on the world in a second overseas stint.

They will trek through a new batch of unaware caravan parks, in their affectionately named motor-home, ‘Sir Van-Celot’ a name voted by thousands fans on facebook.

Hamish & Andy can’t wait to hit Britain and Ireland: “We’re going to be all over that place like a plague, but a fun plague.  The White Plague if you will.  I’m sure there’s actually a nicer way to say that.”

Caravan of Courage 1 saw Hamish & Andy drive from Perth to Brisbane.  In 2008’s Caravan of Courage 2 the boys drove from Melbourne to Darwin.  In 2009 they took their trip international for the first time with Caravan of Courage 3 in America, and now they’re being released from our shores once more.

Hamish & Andy may meet some fans in the UK having last year exported a two-hour Christmas special and Australia Day specials to BBC radio.  Their show has just under 2.5 million listeners in Australia, is syndicated to 37 regional stations and regularly heard on a total of 62 stations.

Caravan of Courage: Great Britain and Ireland will be documented on Hamish & Andy’s Today Network radio show each afternoon plus online with plenty of photos and video at the link below.

They will showcase their adventures in a one hour Hamish & Andy Caravan of Courage Special on Network Ten in mid-June which last year averaged 1.31 million viewers.
