Hit Virtual Trivia is coming to your couch

The days of sitting around a bustling table with your mates and a sheet of questions may be a distant memory for now but the Hit Network has got you covered with Hit Virtual Trivia launching on Tuesday 28 April.

Over eight weeks, listeners across the nation will have the chance to win up to $5,000 cash each Tuesday evening with players testing their general knowledge through an interactive live game with themed rounds, hosted by some of the Hit Network’s favourite announcers.

You can play solo, or with those in your household just by downloading the Hit App or heading to hit.com.au

Week one trivia hosts and Hit Network drive time duo, Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes and Ed Kavalee, know a thing or two about the high stakes of a trivia game or hosting one. Ed Kavalee said: “As a former professional pub trivia host, I can’t wait to get back into it with the fact master general, Hughsey…”

Hughesy said: “All of Australia is in trivia training during lockdown! My old movie knowledge is now next level. This is going to be an epic battle!”

Head of Hit Network, Gemma Fordham, said: “As a brand we have the opportunity to not only inform, support and encourage our listeners and local communities but also provide entertainment in innovative ways.

“We know at the moment we can’t head down to the local pub, a have a schnitty and mash and do trivia with friends, so instead we’re bringing it to you. You’ll have Hughesy and Ed in your lounge room and the drinks will be chilled in your fridge, so it will be virtually the same experience, only difference is you won’t be able to sneakily Google the answer like usual!

“What we love about this is whether you’re in Bunbury or Brisbane, we have a really exciting platform to bring all our communities together and have some fun.”
