How to turn tax time into a good time on your station

While the upcoming election has grabbed the attention of the nation, there’s another big event coming up that also presents great opportunities for content and sales.

It’s Tax Time!

Now is the time to start planning for the end of financial year, not just with your own personal or business finances but, depending on your station format, in terms of radio content and sales opportunities.

Your sales team may find it easier at this time of year to simply sell airtime to tax agents and accountants promoting their services… but you could also add value to benefit your listeners and a sponsor.

There are some great syndicated offerings on the market right now to help you do this in form of Tax Tips segments.   Running these leading up to and though the end of financial year with a local sponsor on board provides some great general tips for listeners while also creating a sales opportunity for the station.
