Jim Wilson’s new drive show on 2GB had everything he could have wished for yesterday, including the PM, NSW Premier, NRL boss, and even ex PM Julia Gillard.
 
The escalating COVID-19 crisis in Melbourne was the main focus of the program, giving Jim a chance to sink his teeth into one of the country’s most important stories on day one.
 
He opened his program by acknowledging the previous occupant of the chair, Ben Fordham and by thanking Mark Levy for keeping it warm in the past month.
 
Jim also acknowledged his long time friendship with Tom Malone, saying, “Nine’s managing director of radio is a good mate of mine and has been for a number of years …and the national content director Greg Byrnes, who is right beside me in the studio today….thanks for backing me guys and having faith in me.
