Aussie rock legend Jimmy Barnes will take listeners through his new album The Best of the Soul Years this evening, the day it is released.
The new album includes:

‘Land of 1000 Dances’, ‘Signed Sealed Delivered’, ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’, ‘I Gotcha’, ‘When Something is Wrong With My Baby’, ‘Mustang Sally’
Jimmy will take listeners on a journey behind the album and reveal why he chose the songs, his favourite artists and influences, when he recorded and who with.
Listeners will also hear what Jimmy listened to growing up, the feedback from fans when he plays his songs live and his favourite soul songs from all time.
Barnes takes over GOLD 104.3 tonight (Friday 21 August) from 7pm.
Jimmy Barnes is just back from Thailand, where he narrowly avoided being caught up in this week’s Bangkok bomb blast.
In a Facebook post Barnes said having his grandson with them meant they “walked the long way around” to get to a restaurant. “Had we gone the direct route we would have been right where the bomb exploded, in the wrong place at the wrong time,” posted Barnes.
