The survey break was over for Kyle and Jackie O this morning and they wasted no time creating a stir.

Starting with Nova newsreader Matt de Groot.

KIIS 106.5‘s newsreader Brooklyn commented to Kyle and Jackie that he’d been told Matt had referred to KIIS newsreaders at a ‘radio school‘  as ‘shit‘.

They then tried to call Matt, referring to him as Matt De Grot to ‘sort this shit out”.

…and when they couldn’t get hold of him, left a voice message on the phone of Nova’s Group Program Director Paul Jackson, going on to question his ethniciity and how smooth 95.3 could be Sydney’s number one station “…because it’s all prerecorded shit”.

Not content to leave it there they tried to call Nova CEO Cathy O’Connor but not before Kyle, while saying she was a ‘nice woman‘, told some unsavoury stories about her.

For the record Matt de Groot has confirmed with radioinfo he said ‘the KIIS news format was ‘poor’ not the newsreaders‘.
