Kymbo & The Rooch named as SEN SA Drive team

Two of Adelaide’s most recognisable voices in sport have today been announced as the hosts of 1629 SEN SA’s Drive program.

Former FM breakfast radio host and Channel 9 sports presenter Kym Dillon and experienced sport journalist Michelangelo Rucci will drive South Australians home from 4-6pm weekdays with their new show, ‘Kymbo & The Rooch’.

Dillon, a former SANFL player and a respected and experienced radio presenter for over three decades, says he is incredibly excited to be working alongside his long-time friend again. “Rooch and I have worked together for many years so I’m thrilled to be reunited on 1629 SEN SA. We are different personalities and enjoy an often ‘lively’ relationship which should make for good listening on the drive home. Plus, as a passionate Crows supporter, I’ll keep Rooch honest!”

Dillion will also call AFL Nation back to the Eastern seaboard and into regional SA.

Rucci, the Chief Football Writer for The Advertiser for almost 30 years, having started with the paper in 1983, welcomed the opportunity to be part of the new station saying “Our show is going to let the fans speak and be a key part of an exciting new era in sport media in the state. Kym thinks he will be in charge, but the listeners will know differently, as they should.”

Pacific Star Network CEO Craig Hutchison says SEN SA would become the new home of sport for sport-obsessed South Australians. “South Australia has a rich parochial sporting heritage so we are delighted to provide a new offering that will invite conversations, debates, news and views. Together with our local Breakfast show hosted by Kane Cornes, Kymbo and the Rooch will contribute to thousands of hours of content made in Adelaide for South Australians each year”.
