Latest on Tarrant’s moves at Capital

Writing in the UK’s Guardian newspaper Julia Day said Capital Radio breakfast DJ Chris Tarrant “has given his strongest indication yet
that he is to leave the company altogether, rather than just quitting as the
voice of its breakfast show after 15 years.”

He is determined to cut his links with the station for a chance to enjoy
life with his sons
before they grow up according to the report. “Tarrant said he needed to take stock of his life – he hasn’t spent Christmas
Day with his family since 1988 and hasn’t had Easter off since 1984.”

“Capital bosses fear its share price will collapse and are desperate
to hang on to him,” says the report.

If Tarrant goes Heart 106.2FM breakfast team, Jono Coleman and Emma Forbes will be looking forward to a boost in their ratings.
