When Jon Faine presents his final morning program for ABC Radio Melbourne it will be broadcast live from the Melbourne Town Hall on Friday 11 October.
 
After 30 years behind the mic, 23 of those as an ABC Mornings host, the final broadcast will be a celebration of Jon’s outstanding radio career and will recognise the tremendous contribution he has made to the ABC, to Melbourne radio and to the Victorian community.
 
Joining Jon will be a reunion of many of the beloved ABC voices from his years with ABC Radio Melbourne, political leaders, long time regulars and a fabulous selection of Melbourne performers.
 
Because of the number of listeners expected to want to attend the event, ABC Radio Melbourne will run a ticket ballot and random draw at the end of September with winners of sets notified on Wednesday 2 October.
