Macquarie Radio studios opened by Prime Minister

Macquarie Radio’s new Pyrmont studios were officially opened this week by Prime Minister John Howard (pictured).

PM Howard spoke to Alan Jones on 2GB just after 8.30, discussing whether there should be a march for returned soldier’s and taking talkback questions from listeners.

He then performed the official opening ceremony for the stations.

Howard was scheduled to open the studios when 2GB and 2CH moved in earlier this year, but events surrounding the US-Iraq war pushed that plan back until today.
