Matt Tilley leaves Nova to eye talk

He only joined Melbourne’s NOVA 100 in April this year but finished up last Friday.

The veteran of three FM networks, Matt Tilley, took on Mornings with the aim of providing Melburnians a more local show than the networked shift he replaced.

Kent “Smallzy” Small, will continue to broadcast into Sydney with no thought about networking his program south, as NOVA 100 searches for a suitable replacement for Tilley.

Tilley is said to have his sights on moving into a conservative talk role, perhaps, on the AM band.

He told radioinfo:

“When you’ve worked for all 3 major FM networks you learn one very important thing. There isn’t a fourth.”

“Nova was a great place to work, really great, and its always nice to leave on good terms. My dream is to one day be walked from the building…simply because I’m so old I require assistance.”
