Mick Malthouse returns to radio after SEN axing

Following Craig Hutchison’s SEN shakeup, three-time AFL premiership coach Malthouse has found a new home at the ABC, where he will do special comments for select games, mainly on Thursday nights, according to News Corp reports.

After being sacked as Carlton coach, Malthouse joined SEN in 2016.

The departure of Gerard Whateley from the ABC has seen a reshuffle at the national broadcaster.

Alister Nicholson will step into Whateley’s vacated Friday and Saturday slots, and on Friday nights he teams with Kelli Underwood, while Matt Clinch will be Nicholson’s co-commentator on Saturday afternoons.

The same core group of experts will return, led by Mark Maclure, Brad Sewell, David Parkin, Adam Ramanauskas, Nathan Burke and Stan Alves.
