‘Primary Focus’ is a new show for South Australians who live on the land, produced and presented by a genuine fourth-generation South Australian farmer Bryan Littlely and will be heard 12-1pm weekdays on 5MU, 5RM, 5AU, 5CS and 5CC.
Primary Focus will reach diverse and vast communities across regional South Australia from March 1, with information on industries that matter most to locals and that underpin the State’s success.
With almost 30 years under his belt as a journalist and editor, Bryan has landed some of SA’s biggest stories with rural news and lifestyle reporting at the center of his extensive media career, and he says, “My first story as a cadet journalist at the Victor Harbor Times was to cover a farm walk – a sticky beak tour – and I’ve never really stopped reporting on the best of rural and regional news even when working in other fields of journalism.’’
Bryan launched the former Statewide section in The Advertiser, was a regional newspaper editor in the Barossa Valley, Victor Harbor, Kangaroo Island and Alice Springs and the National Agricultural Features Journalist for the Stock Journal and sister publications around Australia.
He says, “A big part of my excitement around hosting Primary Focus is getting opportunities to chat with and learn from South Australia’s wealth of talented farmers and primary industries experts while sharing all those great stories and celebrating our collective achievements.”
