New co-hosts for hit92.9 breakfast team

Heidi loses Will and Woody, gains Xavier and Ryan.

As reported earlier on radioinfo, Will McMahon and Woody Whitelaw are heading to Melbourne in 2018 to take over the ARN drivetime slot vacated by Dave Hughes and Kate Langbroek, after almost four years as part of the hit92.9 breakfast trio, Heidi, Will & Woody.

Rumours circulated in Perth for weeks as to who would be signed to co-host with Heidi Anderson in 2018, with Nova’s Nathan Morris, Hit Network’s Tim Lee, Jules Lund and Triple M’s Dangerous Dave reportedly in contention.

Joining Heidi for the Perth breakfast slot from January 8th are former West Coast Eagle Xavier Ellis, and Hit Canberra’s Ryan Jon.

Heading back to Perth from 104.7, Ryan has been on-air for three years since writing and producing a short film that premiered at the 2011 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and Xavier is best-known for having played in three AFL grand finals, and more recently, has been heard on hit92.9.

“I couldn’t be more excited about my two new work husbands,” Heidi said. “I’ve committed to three blokes this year, including my Fiancé Griffo, but what I love about my work hubbies is they’re totally different. Xavier is fun and free, and straight up with no filter! Ryan on the other hand is a little more quirky and serious. He’ll be the one calling the family meetings!”

hit92.9 Content Director, Amanda Lee, says “Heidi, Xavier & Ryan will be fun, entertaining, creative and real, and we can’t wait for everyone to hear their instant chemistry.”
