New Music Marketing and Solutions Director role created at DMG

DMG Radio Australia has appointed Jocelin Abbey to the newly created role of Music Marketing and Solutions Director.  She will be responsible for building music ideas and solutions for clients’ brands and also developing and managing DMG’s music marketing calendar.

The creation of this position gives DMG an opportunity to leverage the relationships with labels, artists, and promoters to deliver commercial opportunities that fit the needs of their advertisers and their own brands.

“The importance of music content to DMG from a commercial, product and marketing perspective is significant and as a result we have decided to appoint a Music Marketing & Solutions Director.  The role will focus on developing revenue opportunities from music artists and events and will also manage our music marketing calendar,” says Group Marketing Director Tony Thomas.

The role will report into the Group Program Director and Group Marketing Director and will work closely with the company’s internal ideas agency, DMG Create, and the sales teams nationally.

Jocelin Abbey previously worked at DMG for 6 years in various roles, including Music Marketing and Integration Manager.  She left in early 2010 to take on the role of Label Manager at Universal Music Australia where she was responsible for maximising both branding and sales for artists and releases, across all formats.

Abbey begins her new role on February 6th
