Is one of radio’s most successful sports partnerships ending?

The Herald Sun is reporting (subscription required) that Dwayne Russell will leave 3AW and join SEN next year to host his own program in the afternoons as well as joining the SEN calling team next season.

Gerard Healy and Russell have hosted the Sports Today program in drive on 3AW for the past 15 years and have become an institution in the 6pm-8pm timeslot but that’s all about to change with Russell being lured to SEN.

The former Geelong defender already does a show on SEN SA, hosting Dwayne daily between 3-4pm  and the Herald Sun says he already has a close relationship with Crocmedia owner and SEN boss Craig Hutchison, given he does the weekly show into Adelaide for the network.
