Parkinsons station fundraiser has special significance

Breeze breakfast host Bruce Neels and the team from the Breeze are supporting the Shake It Up Foundation, a cause very close to the station.

Breeze is helping to raise money for research into the debilitating Parkinsons Disease with regular karaoke nights at the Sharks Football Club on the Gold Coast. Neels himself suffers from Parkinsons Disease.

The Shake it Up foundation was started in Sydney in association with Michael J Fox’s  “Team Fox for Australia.”

General Manager Cheryl Jowitt says the decision to support these and other charities “is just another way we can support our staff and give something back to our local community.  Bruce Neels was diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease several years ago and is an inspiritation to all of us.

The Breeze team uses their promotional activites to also support Breast Cancer Awareness, Cystic Foundation and The Shake it Up Foundation.
