Radio host has two reasons to celebrate

RN’s Robyn Williams has been given the all clear after fighting bowel cancer.

The host of RN’s Science Show has shared his story including his diagnosis on RN’s Life Matters.

“I essentially keep away from Doctors,” he revealed. “However it gets to the point where you can’t ignore the symptons any longer…within minutes of a colonoscopy I was told I’d need surgey because they had found a 5cm tumour.”

The radio host is celebrating his survival at the same time he toasts 40 years with the Science Show.

Outside the ABC, Robyn has served in various capacities, including president of the Australian Museum Trust, chairman of the Commission for the Future, and president of the Australian Science Communicators.

In 1987, he was proclaimed a National Living Treasure.
