The 39th Mardi Gras is done and dusted and while it’s a back to work Monday there may be some dusty bodies dragging themselves into work after the weekend-long celebrations.
It was my first Mardi Gras with mates from Hobart, who attend the parade regularly, buying my husband and I a ticket to the Diamond Club in Taylor Square.
But not before dying my hair pink!
The Diamond Club offered spectacular views on raised platforms plus access to a private bar, gourmet food, private toilets and party-starting DJs.
KIIS 106.5 was broadcasting live as part of ARN’s three-year deal with the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
Word on the parade ground is they are already thinking of an idea for a float for next year’s 40th anniversary.
The Thinkergirls Stacey June and Kristie Mercer were there LIVE on Facebook while iHeartRadio also had a presence.
As for me, it was a privilege to share the night with Scott and Ed celebrating diversity.
