Red FM’s 18 day radio tour

Red FM’s Alana & Robbie swapped the high-heels and baseball caps for Akubras and Blundstones as they embarked on an epic 18 Day Radio Tour through Western Australia’s Kimberley Region.

Starting in Kununurra for the annual ‘Extraordinary Kununurra’ Tour which ran for 8 days, then straight into the ‘Love Broome’ Tour which ran for 10 Days, the Breakfast on Red team really covered some ground in Australia’s North West.

From Lake Argyle for the Annual ‘Lake Argyle Swim’, in which the Red FM Team featuring Robbie won, the broadcast from the iconic Lake Argyle Infinity Pool kicked off the five-show tour, which included trips to Home Valley Station, Emma Gorge and Lake Kununurra.

It was Breakfast host Alana McLean’s first foray into the East Kimberley Region and she confirmed that she had fallen in love with the area saying  “…the landscape is magnificent, it’s genuinely like walking around in a painting.”

After 8 days in Kununurra, as the team flew straight to Broome for another 10-day stint where the ‘Love Broome’ Tour included shows throughout town and a live broadcast from the edge of the water on Broome’s famous Cable Beach.

The Red FM tour concluded with McLean and co-host Robbie Klitzing supporting the 10th annual Cable Beach Polo with some help from Getaway’s Catriona Rowntree.

Klitzing said it was amazing to get behind the event in its 10th year “The Cable Beach Polo has become an iconic event on the WA social calendar. Red FM have been supporting it for a long time now and it’s been amazing to see it continue to build into a world class event.”

Red FM General Manager Ian Kennedy was stoked with the outcome of the touring praising Breakfast on Red’s teams “brilliant teamwork” and saying he’s”… glad we get the opportunity to take our brands around this big state, successfully.’
