On Thursday, Gold FM’s breakfast team Richard, Bridge and Spida will once again host and compete in the annual “Richard, Bridge and Spida’s Ride On 600” Ride on Mower race to celebrate the season of the V8’s on the Gold Coast for the Armor All Gold Coast 600.
 
For the past 2 weeks, listeners have registered on the Gold FM Website for their chance to be on the starting line. Now with 10 contestants and 3 announcers, each competitor is encouraged to “Pimp their ride” all racing for the major prize od A Rover Raider ride on mower thanks to Hinterland Mowers, as well as Grid Walks, Pit Lane Passes and tickets to the Armor All Gold Coast 600.
 
The 750 meters race will be held at the V8 Superschool Track in Norwell on Thursday 24th October beginning 7am.
 
There will be two Ride on Mower heats, a Beginners and Professional heat, as well as Time Trials throughout the morning, ensuring it will be jam packed with racing and entertainment. 
 
Garth Tander from the Holden Racing Team and Russell Ingall from Supercheap Auto Racing will be on hand at the race to give advice, help with the heats and assist with judging the time trials.
 
Breakfast co-host Spida Everitt said: “It’s not just about preparing your mower for the race… the competitors need to get ready for the honour and fame that comes with the win.”
