From humble beginnings as a 15-year-old lunch runner at 2CH in 1948, Ron Camplin has gone on to become one of the most loved and respected men in Australian radio. 

This year marks 70 memorable years in radio for Ron.

Ron launched his company Camplin Broadcasters in 1969 and went on to buy and run 2BS with his wife Stephanie in 1984.

He was awarded an OAM for services to the Commercial Broadcasting industry and the local community in 1995.

He went on to become a member of the Commercial Radio Australia Hall of Fame in 2002.

“He’s forgotten more than most know about the industry” says Ray reflecting on Ron’s great standing in radio.
