Sam Smith shines at No.22 with Diamonds: AirCheck Airplay Chart

This week Sam Smith was the biggest mover on the AirCheck National Radio Airplay Chart, with ‘Diamonds’ gaining 186 spins to No.22 with 318 instances. The track, released on 18 September, earned spins across 16 stations including the Hit, KIIS and Nova networks and Newcastle’s NewFM. The Nova network showed their support, accounting for 41% of the week’s airplay and increasing last week’s spins by 242%.

In its fourth week since release, Sigala & James Arthur’s ‘Lasting Lover’ rose 6 frames to No.20 after an increase of 95 spins. 20 stations spun the track this week, while Hot Tomato began spinning the collaboration. The Edge Sydney was out in front adding 41 spins, followed by the Nova network averaging 35 spins per station.

Guy Sebastian released ‘Love On Display’ this week, receiving 199 spins in its debut week. KIIS 1065 Sydney was the track’s top supporter, adding 34 instances while KIIS 101.1 Melbourne was first to play the track. The song was added by 16 stations – the KIIS, Nova and Hit networks as well as 973 Brisbane.
