Sarah Morice moves from 2UE newsroom to breakfast: AUDIO

Sarah Morice will partner Dicko on 2UE breakfast in 2013.

2UE General Manager Chris Parker says Sydneysiders “are keen to understand, connect and participate in the conversation about a range of issues, while also wanting to be entertained. In Dicko and Sarah we have the on air team in 2013 to provide them with that”

“Sarah is the brightest young talent to emerge from within 2UE in years. She will bring a fresh and unique news perspective to the breakfast timeslot. She is an extremely talented and well respected journalist, having recently been awarded the prestigious Brian White Memorial Award for excellence in journalism.”

Morice, an existing employee in the 2UE newsroom, covering crime, won the award at last year’s ACRAs. On the night, she told radioinfo about her career and how she won the award last year, showing both talent and humility.

According to Dicko, doing a talk radio breakfast show is “one of the biggest things I’ve tackled in my professional career.”

As a fill in host on 2UE last year he says he has had “the pleasure of interacting with 2UE listeners over the past few months and the experience has been extremely rewarding. I’m not one to mince my words or hold back, but I think I can make a reasonable point without banging the table and screaming at listeners down the microphone.

“I’m thrilled to be sharing this adventure with Sarah. She is one of the most talented journos that I’ve ever worked with – her energy and enthusiasm will be the perfect heart starter for breakfast listeners.”

According to Parker, Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson has already shown himself “to be a big hit with listeners… a gifted communicator and a man of the people.”
