SCA increases digital audience by 130%

Neilson’s Online Ranking Report for April 2014 saw Southern Cross Austereo increase their online digital audience by 130% since last year to 2.37 million browsers.
 
Among this, the report found that SCA had over one million downloads and streams of ‘audio on demand’ content in April 2014 and a 73% of the share of the Australian radio views on YouTube in April 2014.
 
Southern Cross Austereo Director of Digital and Innovation Clive Dickens said: “Given the Easter holidays and Anzac Day impacted on domestic online consumption this month, we are particularly pleased with the results. At SCA we are very focused on social, mobile and video and to see us take over 50% share of Digital Metrics for the first time is a real milestone.”
 
This news follows British figures released by RAJAR that the radio consumption from Internet devices is on the rise, with radio consumed via digital tv and via internet devices making up 6% and 7% of the market respectively.
