SEN General Manager made redundant

SEN General Manager Cathy Thomas has been made redundant as part of a range of changes being made at SEN, after the merger of parent company Pacific Star with CrocMedia last month.

Cathy Thomas has managed SEN for the past 18 months.

She was previously General Manager of SCA’s Melbourne stations for three years from 2012, leaving SCA during state management changes in 2015.

Company Chairman Craig Coleman thanked Thomas for her contribution, saying:

“Change is never easy but we are focused on positioning SEN for future growth. We thank Cathy for the valued contribution she’s made to the station and wish her every success in the future.”

It is expected Thomas’ role will be covered internally with a number of new executive appointments expected this week.

Cathy Thomas said: “My time at SEN has been a very rewarding experience, working with an amazing group of people both on and off the air who will continue to thrive across broadcast and digital platforms within the newly merged business and all of the opportunities for growth this offers.”

SEN’s new on air and management lineup is expected to be in place by next week when new recruit Gerard Whateley  joins the station.
